Summary simulation DENTRO

You have just completed a simulation in DENTRO.

In this summary report, you will find an overview of all the tree species you selected based on the filters or parameters you chose. For each selected tree species, additional points of attention are provided, such as common diseases, relevant legislation, or considerations for the further application of specific species. This gives you a clear and practical document that you can use for evaluation with a tree grower and for further planning.

You can also save this report as a PDF, making it easy to consult or share later.

Attention points: Diseases and invasiveness

Choosing tree species can come with certain risks, such as susceptibility to diseases or potential for invasiveness. Below, you'll find a summary of the risks related to the species you selected.

Name Cultivar Susceptibility to diseases Potential for invasiveness
[[ tree.scientific_name ]] ([[ tree.en_name.trim() ]]) [[ tree.cultivar ]] [[ tree.disease_risk ]] [[ tree.non_invasiveness ]]

Attention points: Climate

With a changing climate, it is important to consider how tree species cope with extreme weather during the tree species selection process. The overview below shows how your selected species perform under common climate extremes.

Name Cultivar Wind Salt sea wind Drought Heat Flood Early autumn frost Extreme winter (<-14°C) Late spring frost
[[ tree.scientific_name ]] ([[ tree.en_name.trim() ]]) [[ tree.cultivar ]] [[ tree.wind ]] [[ tree.salt_sea_wind ]] [[ tree.drought ]] [[ tree.heat ]] [[ tree.flood ]] [[ tree.early_autumn_frost ]] [[ tree.extreme_winter_belowminus14C ]] [[ tree.late_spring_frost ]]

You can find more information about selecting tree species taking into account climate change here.

Flemish agroforestry subsidy

If you are an active farmer in Flanders, you may be eligible for subsidies for planting and maintaining agroforestry systems. These are available through the Agency for Agriculture and Sea Fisheries (Agentschap Landbouw en Zeevisserij). To apply for the Planting Subsidy (BLS) or the Maintenance Subsidy (BLO), make sure the species you have selected are on the approved list from the Agency, and that you meet the other criteria as well.
